Donovan Music will provide a deluxe state-of-the-art sound system, a digital Karaoke Player, lots of karaoke CDs with your favorite songs, 2 professional vocal microphones on stands, and all the song lyrics are played on a color TV monitor. We bring all our own equipment, set it up and provide hours of fun at your event or party. We also provide a professional Master of Ceremonies (MC) for your event. If you want to create a stage area, we also offer theatrical Stage Lighting, Disco Mirror Ball, and Up-Lighting for ambient room atmosphere.
We bring out your guests’ inner divas while respecting their wishes if they’d rather just watch. We can calm nerves by asking shy folks to sing back-up, so they can get used to being onstage. If you’re faced with a lot of tentative performers, turn them all into karaoke kings and queens by starting things off as a group sing-along party, where we play classics like “YMCA” and “Greased Lightning” and get everybody singing, dancing and playing tambourine together. Donovan Music provides multiple Karaoke Songbooks featuring all the available songs that guests can look through to find what they'd like to sing. We have over 7,500 songs available, and we continue to add to the list. We will be happy to accommodate any special requests, including special songs, dances, announcements, etc. Our Karaoke Songbooks are listed by Song Title as well as by Artist. We also hand out tablets of song request slips, where guests can write down their names and their song choices. We usually play the selections in the order we receive them so no one has to wait too long for their turn to sing. If you like, we can give out prizes for best song, best impersonation, biggest crowd pleaser, wackiest song choice and most enthusiastic.
